Introduction

Learning objectives

  • To understand how human processes interact to influence, and change landscapes, environments and the climate.
  • To understand the terms biodiversity and conservation.
  • To be able to evaluate the conservation needs of different species.
  • To understand the conflict that can exist between conservation and other stakeholders.

Students’ outcomes

  • To recognise the variety of different conservation measures available to conservationists.
  • To be able to argue a point given a certain role to play.
