Learning objectives

  • To understand how human processes interact to influence and change landscapes, environments and the climate.
  • To understand the term ‘Sustainable Development’.
  • To be able to make connections with the different elements or ‘pillars’ of sustainability.
  • To understand how the future of the Galapagos depends on planning sustainably.

Students’ outcomes

  • Explain the term ‘Sustainable Development.’
  • Demonstrate understanding by applying knowledge to Galapagos issues.
