What is citizen science?

Citizen science is when people who aren’t scientists participate in scientific research. This could be anything from taking a picture of a shark to help track the species’ movements to reporting sightings of an injured sea lion.

Whether you are a tourist or a resident of Galapagos, there are lots of different citizen science projects to get involved in, all of which are helping to protect the wildlife of Galapagos.
