Rosemarie had wanted to visit the Galapagos for many years and made it happen in May 2010. Extraordinary really as six weeks later she was diagnosed with Sarcoma, and she died four weeks after that having just celebrated her 55th birthday.
She had always lived a very healthy lifestyle and had been a vegetarian since she was about 13 as she considered it to be morally wrong to harm/eat animals. She described the holiday as one of a lifetime and we are comforted by the memory of her visiting such a special place and this is why we have set up Rosemarie’s Tribute Fund which will contribute to the work of the Galapagos Conservation Trust and ensure her wonderful memory lives on.
