Adopt a Floreana Mockingbird
£5.00 – £10.00
UK shipping: £3.50
International shipping: £15
The Floreana mockingbird was the first mockingbird species identified by Charles Darwin during the voyage of the Beagle, and the differences he noticed between mockingbird species on each island inspired his theory of evolution. However, the Floreana mockingbird is now extinct on the island from which it takes its name due to invasive predators including rats and feral cats. By adopting a Floreana mockingbird, you will be supporting projects such as the restoration of Floreana, which aims to reintroduce 12 locally extinct species to the island, including the Floreana mockingbird.
