The little vermilion flycatcher is endemic to Galapagos. Whilst a favourite amongst locals and visitors alike, this brilliantly coloured songbird is declining at an alarming rate.
Your gift will help reverse the decline of endemic land birds, including the little vermilion flycatcher. Galapagos Conservation Trust helps support a number of programmes for the protection of iconic bird species. Efforts to remove the invasive blackberry plants (mora) will increase to allow for the recovery of the Scalesia forest habitat, and create areas for breeding and foraging.
