Hi, my name is Grayson Rigby and I am 11 years old. I am a conservationist and the author of ‘Expedition to the Galapagos Islands’. I really enjoyed my trip to Galapagos a few years ago because of all of the cool and interesting animals. While exploring the Islands, I thought about trying to keep all of the animals safe from going extinct, and I decided that I wanted to help by writing this book.
‘Expedition to the Galapagos Islands’ is all about the animals of the Islands. There are detailed pictures and illustrations that I drew myself. Also included are facts about all of the unique and endemic animals. The book educates children on how much the Galapagos Islands need saving. The animals are all very important to the environment because they each have a role in the ecosystem and keeping it going.
The money that we are making from book sales is being donated to the Galapagos Conservancy so that they can save the animals. We all need to do our part to save the Galapagos animals so that the Islands will not be lifeless. The Galapagos needs to stay healthy and full of happy wildlife. If we do our part the animals will do theirs to keep the Galapagos Islands the way we know and love.
The Galapagos Islands are worth saving and it is up to the people in this world to help the Islands.
‘Expedition to the Galapagos Islands’ by young travel author Grayson Rigby is a non-fiction children’s picture book.
