Thank you to everyone who entered the 2022 Galapagos Photography Competition and a special thanks to all those who donated towards our work to protect this magnificent Archipelago.

The judges for this year’s competition were wildlife presenter and GCT Ambassador, Liz Bonnin; professional photographer and Galapagos naturalist guide Walter Perez; photography teacher and Galapagos National Park ranger Diego Bermeo; and photography enthusiast Ralph Pannell, the Director of Aqua-Firma.

Congratulations to Enzo Reyes who won the 2022 competition with this beautiful and striking photograph of two waved albatrosses on Española. Here’s what Walter Perez had to say:

“No matter how many books you read or how many movies your watch about Galapagos, they will never prepare you for what you will really experience once you are here. This picture tells the better story.”

We had so many brilliant entries for the 2022 Galapagos Photography Competition, despite the decrease in travel to Galapagos in 2021 due to COVID-19. We would like to say a huge thank you to all those who entered and donated towards our work. You can see the winning and runner-up images for each category below.

We are also delighted to announce that the 2022 Galapagos Photography Competition Public Choice vote is now open! Vote now, and you could be be in with a chance to win a Galapagos digital adoption!
