Ensuring sustainability in Galapagos

Increasing the human population and number of visitors to the Islands poses a myriad of threats to the fragile Galapagos environment if not managed correctly. We believe that the key to a sustainable future is to engage the local community in becoming the conservation stewards of the Archipelago; supporting capacity building in areas such as waste management and sustainable agriculture. By working with key stakeholders in the tourism industry we aim to promote responsible tourism in Galapagos as a global model for sustainable ecotourism, developing lessons for other areas in the world.
